Die Ju 88 Serie von Italeri war seinerzeit die beste, die man in 1/72 kriegen konnte.
Dennoch vertrug der Bausatz ein paar Verbesserungen:
Die vorderen MG sind aus der Grabbel-Kiste - 3 MG 131 und ein MG 151/20 - die Muni-Kisten sind Eigenbau. Die ganzen Bug kann man abnehmen, mitsamt der Bodenwanne. In dieser sind zwei selbstgebaute MG FF mit Muni-Trommeln.
Ins Cockpit kamen noch selbstgemachte Sitzgurten, Muni-Kästen und -gurten, die MG wurden aufgebohrt und erhielten selbstgemachte Visiere (aus Kupferlitze). Ruderpedale und Hydraulik-Leitungen sind ebenfalls Eigenbau. Das große Foto wurde gemacht, bevor das Fahrwerk angebaut war, indem ich die Propeller mit einem alten Haarfön kalt anblies.

The Italeri Ju 88 Series were at that time simply the best one could get in 1/72.
Inspite of it, the kit could do a lick of some corrections:
The nose-guns are added of the spare-box - 3 MG 131 and one MG 151/20 - the ammunition-boxes are scratch-built. The whole nose can be removed, including the chin-tub. In this tub there are two scratch-built MG FF with its ammunition-drums.
Optimizing the cockpit-interior by adding self-made seat-belts, self-made ammunition-boxes and -belts, drilling up the guns and adding self-made gun-sights (single copper-wire). Rudder-pedals and hydraulic-pipes are also self-made. The large photo was taken before adding the landing-gear, blowing the props with an old, cold hair-dryer.
