Die Messerschmitt Bf 110 war der klassische Zerstörer der Luftwaffe; konzipiert, um sowohl im Luftkampf, als auch in der Bekämpfung von Bodenzielen, erfolgreich zu sein. Dieses Konzept war allerdings nicht von langer Dauer. So wurde die Bf 110 mit zunehmender Fortdauer des Krieges mehr und mehr zum Nachtjäger (siehe Messerschmitt Bf 110 G-4). Die Ausführung F ist eine stärkere Weiterentwicklung der C und konnte in ihrer Rolle als taktischer Bomber auch schwere Bomben bis 1000kg mitführen. Das Modell von Italeri ist rundum stimmig, und so konzentrierte ich mich darauf, das äußere Abbild einer Maschine des berühmten ZG 1 Wespengeschwaders darzustellen. Ich habe lediglich die MG-Läufe aufgebohrt, im Cockpit Gurten und Visier zugefügt, ebenso eines am rückwärtigen MG, und die Peilantenne unter dem Rumpf aus Kupferlitze gemacht. Kühler und Lufteinlässe bekamen Gitterstruktur spendiert. Interessant an dieser Bf 110 F ist die ungewöhnliche, weil dreifärbige Tarnbemalung auf den Tragflächenoberseiten. Kennung und Hoheitszeichen stammen vom Bausatz, das gelbe Rumpfband wurde mit dem Luftpinsel gespritzt. << Messerschmitt Bf 110 C >> Messerschmitt Bf 110 G-4

The Messerschmitt Bf 110 was the classical destroyer of the Luftwaffe (Air Force); conceived, in order to be successful both in the aerial combat, and in the fight against ground targets. But his concept was not from long duration. Thus, with increasing continuation of the war, the BF 110 became more and more the night fighter (look Messerschmitt Bf 110 G-4). The execution F is a stronger advancement of C and in its certain role as an attack bomber could also carry heavy bombs up to 1000kg. The Italeri kit is a fine moulded one and the fitting ist well, so I concentrated to represent the outside image of an aircraft of the famous ZG 1 Wasp Group. I entirely drilled holes in the gun-barrels, added harnesses and gun-sight to the cockpit, as did I to the rear-gunner's gun, and I replaced the loop-antenna below the fuselage by a single copper-wire. I also added gratings-texture to the coolers and air-intakes. The point of interest on this Bf 110 is the unusual, three-coloured camouflage on the wing's upper surfaces.
