 Ich hatte noch nie einen schlechteren Bausatz in der Hand. Um diesen Winzling (sogar winzig in 1/72) zu verbessern, waren folgende Arbeiten nötig: Fast alles war zu machen. Kein Teil paßte zum anderen, die Kanzel war dick und trüb, ich brauchte jede Menge Spachtelmasse und vom Schleifen staubte es recht arg, so daß es ein rechtes Kunststück war, den Bausatz so fertigzustellen, wie er jetzt aussieht. Der Bausatz ist so klein, daß man ihn kaum halten kann. Trotz der Kleinheit dieses sogenannten Jagdflugzeugs (das nie in Dienst ging), verpassten die Russischen Ingenieure im 2. WK diesem raketengetriebenen Zwerg zwei schwere Kanonen in die Nase. Man kann diese Maschine mit der ebenfalls raketengetriebenen aber unbewaffneten Heinkel He 176 vergleichen, es sind beinahe Zwillinge. Die Maße sind nicht korrekt, aber die Proportionen stimmen. Das innenleben bestand aus dem Sitz, dem Steuerknüppel und einem Etwas was das Instrumentenbrett sein sollte. Also machte ich, bis auf den Sitz, alles selbst. Ich fügte noch Sitzgurte hinzu, das Visier, eine selbstgezogene Kanzel und zwei Kanülen als Kanonen. Die Fahrwerksklappen mußten noch dünner werden - aber wie halten beim Feilen? So habe ich sie aus durchsichtigem aber doch stabilem Plastik (Spielzeugverpackung) neu angefertigt. Die einzige leichte Arbeit war das Bemalen. Ein Dunkelgrün und Hellblau reichten für eine realistische Farbgebung aus und die Abziehbilder waren zart und glänzten, was aber nichts ausmachte, da ohnehin Halbmatt über alles nachlackiert wurde. Heutzutage bekommt man denselben Bausatz von einem anderen Hersteller, aber die schwache Qualität scheint auch dieselbe zu sein. Falls jemand Hilfe zum Zusammenbau braucht, mail mir. Ich habe eine gute Detailzeichung, die eine wirkliche Unterstützung bei der doch ordentlich gelungenen Fertigstellung war. |
 The worst kit I ever held in hands, but the only one in the whole world. To optimize this tiny kit (even tiny in 1/72 !) following works were necessary: Almost everything! There was no part fitting to the other, the canopy was thick and ugly, I had to use much filler and even more to grind, so it was a real hard trick to finish this kit in the way I finally succeeded. This kit is so small, I could hardly hold it in my hands. Inspite of the small measures of this so called fighter (which never saw service), the Russian aircraft-engineers during WW2 decided to load two heavy guns into the nose of this rocket-propelled dwarf. This aircraft can be compared with the German also rocket-propelled but unarmed Heinkel He 176, they nearly look like twins. The measures of the kit are not correct, but it is well proportioned. The interior consisted of one seat, one control-stick and something what should have been an instrument panel. I had to scratchbuild almost everything new, except the seat. I added the belts and a gun-sight, added a new self-made canopy and as cannons I took two tubules. The hinged flaps of the landing-gear had to be thinned down - but how to fix them while working on them? So I had to build them totally new, out of very thin but solid clear plastic-sheet (you buy it with every toy, it's the cover). The only work which was easy to do, was the painting. A real dark-green and a light-blue was enough to color it realistic and the decals were rather thin and glossy, but this did not matter, the whole kit got a final spray in semi-glossy. Nowadays, the same kit is available by some other manufacturer, but the poor quailty seems to be the same also. If you need help in anyway to build this kit, send mail.
